for both – as well as the Guardian and other publishing houses. She was UEFA’s London correspondent for the postponed 2020 European Championships, liaising with tournament organisers, ambassadors and syndication partners to produce tailored content.

Need someone to manage your social media? Combining editorial with social media expertise, Carrie can drive traffic to your website or videos with well-written social posts that highlight a great story or angle. She’s worked for some high-profile sporting organisations, managing their portfolio of social media accounts, clipping video, and working with their key athletes to ensure the clear communication of messaging.

Want her to talk? She can do that as well. She is a regular voice on radio, where she co-commentates for a variety of stations – and she loves to guest on podcasts and discussion shows, getting into topics in depth, and airing her opinions on topics of the day, always grounded in her expertise and research.

And on the subject of research, she has a PhD in sports sociology, and has published widely on women’s football, fandom, and the game’s history.

She uses her wealth of knowledge and her research skills in her volunteer work for Fair Game, where she leads on the women's game, Her Game Too Cymru, where she is an ambassador, and Cymru Women's Sport, where she is a member of the advisory board.

Whether you want to commission a feature or a book, or you want a guest for your show, or you want to add an experienced freelancer to your sports desk, get in touch to discuss how Carrie can help you.
